Docker¶
Open settings
The settings are opened via the SETTINGS section and in the Docker menu.
In the menu item Docker you can enable or disable the docker feature.
Enable docker¶
Note
To enable Docker is necessary to insert a Micro SD Card in the CMTK slot, Docker runs on this SD Card.
Mount SD Card¶
Before we can enable Docker is necessary to mount the SD Card to the CMTK, that means the SD Card is recognized by the CMTK as a valid storage for Docker.
-
Plug the SD Card to the CMTK.
Note
Click on the Refresh button to scan the SD Card.
-
Click on Mount SD Card
To use the SD Card, it has to be mounted.
-
Enter a passphrase to format the SD Card.
Note
Record the passphrase and keep it securely. This passphrase is also required for logging into the Portainer.
Note
The SD Card will be formatted with the passphrase. All data on the Card will be lost. It can take a few minutes until Portainer starts after the formatting.
Turn on Docker¶
After formatting the SD Card, you can enable Docker by clicking on the Docker enabled button.
Docker is now activated.
If you now click on Open Portainer, another window with Portainer opens.
The username is admin
and the password is the entered CMTK-PASSPHRASE
.
Further documentation on Portainer can be found here: Deploy your first container
Eject SD Card¶
If you like to eject the SD Card, you have to click the "eject" button in the Docker menu. After clicking "eject", this dialog will show up.
You have to click on Eject SD card to eject the SD Card.
Note
Ejecting the SD Card will automatically stop Docker.
Now you can safely remove the SD Card from the CMTK.
SD Card could not be mounted¶
In case this message pops up, you connected an SD Card with an other passphrase then the passphrase of the device. There are two possibilities to solve it.
-
Enter the correct passphrase
Click on Change passphrase and enter the right passphrase for the SD Card.
Note
Record the passphrase and keep it securely.
After saving the right passphrase, the Docker menu will be displayed.
-
Format the SD Card like it is explained here.
Note
All data on the SD Card will be lost.
