Open connected devices

The connected devices are opened via the rail on the left side.

The overview lists all connected IO-Link sensors. Unknown sensors are marked in red. In this case, you must upload the corresponding device-specific IODD.

Note

For unknown sensors the necessary IODDs can be downloaded from the manufacturer or from https://ioddfinder.io-link.com/.

  • Click on the desired sensor. A menu opens in which you can select the settings for each sensor.

General information

General information is provided in the GENERAL area. Here you can also delete the IODD stored on the device. You can use the three-point menu to change the configuration of pin 2 and pin 4 of the IO-Link port.

Parameters (IODD) / Configuration of the sensors

In the Parameters (IODD) area, you receive information about the sensor and can configure it in many ways.

Note

For information on the specific configuration of the connected IO-Link devices, see the sensor operating manual.

Data selector

In the Data selector area, you can specifically define for each sensor which data is to be captured by the CMTK and, for example, written to the database or communicated via MQTT. By default, all process data is captured. Status bits / Boolean values are disabled by default. The selection and number of data directly affects the retention period of data in the database on the device.

Sensor Firmware Update

In the Firmware Update area, you can update the firmware of the device. To update the firmware, upload the firmware file and enter a bootloader password if neccesary. After that, click on Start Installation.

Area "Firmware Update ".

Warning

After the update, the process data can change and the sensor is reset to default settings. Please check all configurations of the sensor after the update because depending on the update, some configurations can be changed.

Note

After flashing is completed, refresh the page to see the new firmware version.
