Software Installation#
Software Installation covers the following tasks:
- Obtaining and installing Impact Control Center software to configure RadarImager and to acquire 3D Images.
- Configure the static IP address.
- Create a firewall rule for Impact Control Center.
Obtaining and Installing Impact Control Center#
- Open the BAI BVA - Balluff Impact Acquire download page.
- Click on Downloads and select the desired executable according to the operating system you want to use (Apple, Linux, Windows).
A setup file is downloaded to your download folder. - Double-click the file to start the installation.
You have installed Impact Control Center. The next step is to set up the IP address of your local system.
Configure the static IP Address#
You have to set a static IP address 10.42.0.1
in the TCP/IPv4 settings.
For Windows 10#
- Open the Control Panel.
- Open the Network and Sharing Center.
- Select Change adapter settings.
- Right-click the Ethernet connection, and select Status.
- In the dialog, click Properties.
- Double-click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).

Select Use the following IP address, and type in the following:
IP address:
10.42.0.1
Subnet mask:
255.255.255.0
Default gateway:
10.42.0.1

Click OK.
For Linux#
- Open the network settings for the wired connection, and under IPv4, select Manual.
- Under Addresses, enter the address, netmask, and gateway.
In case of an active RadarImager, you can now update the firewall rule.
Create a firewall rule for Impact Control Center (Linux only)#
Note
This example is for a Linux system.
- In case of an active Firewall, the Firewall rule has to be updated as follows: You can now connect your laptop with the RadarImager.
