Troubleshooting#
This section helps you diagnose the most common RadarImager problems without repeating the full setup and configuration guides. Start with the symptom that best matches your issue, then follow the linked detailed guide.

Device is not found or no new image is acquired
Connection, network, firewall, trigger, and acquisition issues.

The image result looks wrong
Object not visible, wrong layer, poor contrast, mirrored display, blur, ghosting, and shadows.

Streaming or parameter behavior is unexpected
Frame drops, MTU / GenDC issues, non-persistent settings, and changes that only apply after a new measurement.
Quick triage#
If you are not sure where to start, check the following in order:
- Power and status
- The Power LED and Status LED show normal operation.
- The Ethernet cable and trigger wiring are connected to the intended ports.
- Network and connection
- The host uses the required static IP configuration from Network Configuration.
- The device can be found and opened in Impact Control Center.
- Acquisition
- A trigger event actually occurs.
useExternalTriggerand the trigger mode are configured correctly.
- Image content
- The object is inside the configured image range.
- The correct layer is selected and the normalization is suitable.
- Performance and persistence
- No frame drops occur.
- You are aware that some changes require a new measurement and that configuration is not persistent after restart.
Symptom overview#
- I cannot find the device or connect to it → Connection & acquisition issues

- I get an image, but the object is missing or cropped → Image result issues
- The image looks empty, too dark, or I cannot find the correct layer → Image result issues
